Thank you for the support!

Feedly 9.0 for firefox has a bug where it only shows one or two articles for the feeds which do not include images. We are very sorry about this. We are able to reproduce the problem and are working on a fix. We hope to be able to submit the fix to Mozilla later this afternoon. More information in 2-3 hours.
Update 01/16: Special thanks to the Mozilla team for the review. Feedly 9.1 is now available for download https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/feedly/
Update 01/15: We have been able to FIX this problem. Feedly 9.1 has been submitted to Mozilla for review. You can download it here: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/feedly/versions/

We spent the last 8 weeks finding and polishing rough edges in feedly for chrome/firefix/safari. We are excited to push out a new version of feedly desktop (aka Feedly 9.0).
It …fixes the sporadic loading issue in firefox, …adds support for multiple google login, …fixes the integration with Facebook, …offers richer article previews and …evolves towards a more minimalistic experience (It might take a couple of days to get used to some of the new fonts).
We also added a new explore page to make it easier for you to find and follow new sources:
In order to improve the scroll speed, we had to evolve the theme effort. Some of the more sophisticated themes are no longer available (at least temporarily). Sorry about that. You should expect to see more work in that direction in feedly 10/11 – aligned with some of the optimizations the Chrome team is performing on Windows.
Available for Chrome and Safari now.

Looking forward to your feedback.

We just pushed out feedly 8.1. It fixes some of the bugs/regressions reported over the last 24 hours (thanks for the feedback!).
Change log:
Please let us know by posting a comment if you run into any other high priority issue. We are happy to do another patch if needed.

We are rolling out today a new edition of feedly. Feedly 8 is centered around two new features and two new views.
Feedly 8.0 is available for Chrome and Safari now. It is being reviewed by the mozilla team and should be available for Firefox in a couple of weeks.
You can now collect articles by tagging them. Think of tags as a more permanent/topical save for later. In version 8.0, collections are private/personal. In version 9.0, we will make it easy for you to selectively publish and share your collections.
All the list pages now support infinite scrolling and will automatically load more content as you reach the end of a page. The result is a simple and faster way to browse through your favorite content.
As part of feedly 8, we are rolling out a new view called “Cards”. You can apply it to the collection of articles you have tagged, to a section or a specific feed. It it optimized for great visuals.
To assign the cards view to a page, click on the view icon on the top right of the page and select the Cards option:
In feedly 8, we have redesigned the “Titles” view with crunchers in mind. The entire with of the page is dedicated to content, tools hover in and you can easily navigate through the content using keyboard shortcuts. Combine that with the new infinite scrolling and you have a feed crunching machine.
Note: if you want to see the list of the sources in the latest page, simply choose the old titles view from the view options.
Here is a quick summary of the refined keyboard shortcuts supported by feedly in version 8.0.
Feedly 8.0 is available for Chrome and Safari now. It is being reviewed by the mozilla team and should be available for Firefox in a couple of weeks.
Looking forward to your feedback and suggestions. Special thanks to Sarah for the feedback she provided during the design of the new Titles view.

“Creativity is just connecting things. When you ask creative people how they did something, they feel a little guilty because they didn’t really do it, they just saw something. It seemed obvious to them after a while. That’s because they were able to connect experiences they’ve had and synthesize new things. And the reason they were able to do that was that they’ve had more experiences or they have thought more about their experiences than other people. Unfortunately, that’s too rare a commodity. A lot of people in our industry haven’t had very diverse experiences. So they don’t have enough dots to connect, and they end up with very linear solutions without a broad perspective on the problem. The broader one’s understanding of the human experience, the better design we will have.” – Steve Jobs, Wired, February, 1995

Thank you for all the feedback regarding what you liked and disliked about the feedly 6 release. We listened carefully. We are pushing out today a 6.1 patch update which fixes most of the bugs and adjusts a few design decisions. You can download 6.1 for Chrome, Firefox and Safari from our homepage.
The main design change you will notice is that the selector now collapses in “narrow” mode to allow more room for the content. The selector will automatically appear as you hover on the bar. We also did some white space optimization for text only feeds.
[[Update: A few people ask how the narrow mode is activated. It actually activates automatically when the width of the browser window < 1200px]]
Here is a change log of some of the other rough edges which have been polished as part of the 6.1 update:
We are going to continue to iterate quickly over the next 4 weeks so if you have other suggestions or run into a bug, please post a comment and we will look into it.
Thank you and have a great week end.
