Feedly 9.0 for firefox has a bug where it only shows one or two articles for the feeds which do not include images. We are very sorry about this. We are able to reproduce the problem and are working on a fix. We hope to be able to submit the fix to Mozilla later this afternoon. More information in 2-3 hours.

We spent the last 8 weeks finding and polishing rough edges in feedly for chrome/firefix/safari. We are excited to push out a new version of feedly desktop (aka Feedly 9.0).

It …fixes the sporadic loading issue in firefox, …adds support for multiple google login, …fixes the integration with Facebook, …offers richer article previews and …evolves towards a more minimalistic experience (It might take a couple of days to get used to some of the new fonts).

We also added a new explore page to make it easier for you to find and follow new sources:

In order to improve the scroll speed, we had to evolve the theme effort. Some of the more sophisticated themes are no longer available (at least temporarily). Sorry about that. You should expect to see more work in that direction in feedly 10/11 – aligned with some of the optimizations the Chrome team is performing on Windows.

We just pushed out feedly 8.1. It fixes some of the bugs/regressions reported over the last 24 hours (thanks for the feedback!).

Change log:

1. FIXED – Mark as read counter was sometimes clipped.
2. FIXED – Clicking on the unread count was no longer marking sources as read.
3. FIXED – Move the “Back To Top” icon above the” Jump To Next” icon.
4. FIXED – The source title and the author name sometimes push the mark as read link out.
5. FIXED – There is no way to mark an article as read in the new card view.
6. FIXED – Empty tag page resulted in a session expired loop.
7. FIXED – Loading a category or feed page through a link sometimes resulted on an empty page.
8. FIXED – The Google+ option of feedly mini does not always work.
9. FIXED – Some of the blogs like LogoPond no longer render correctly in the mosaic view.
10. FIXED – Sometimes “Jump to Next” transitions from one of my sources to an essential source.

Thank you for all the feedback regarding what you liked and disliked about the feedly 6 release. We listened carefully. We are pushing out today a 6.1 patch update which fixes most of the bugs and adjusts a few design decisions. You can download 6.1 for Chrome, Firefox and Safari from our homepage.

The main design change you will notice is that the selector now collapses in “narrow” mode to allow more room for the content. The selector will automatically appear as you hover on the bar. We also did some white space optimization for text only feeds.

[[Update: A few people ask how the narrow mode is activated. It actually activates automatically when the width of the browser window < 1200px]]
